The Cisco 10GBASE-SR module SFP-10G-SR-S supports a link length of 26 meters on standard Fiber Distributed Data Interface (FDDI)-grade multimode fiber (MMF). Using 2000 MHz*km MMF (OM3), up to 300-meter link lengths are possible. Using 4700 MHz*km MMF (OM4), up to 400 meter link lengths are possible. The Cisco-SFP-10G-SR-S is a transceiver module used for short time data transformation over a multimode fiber network system. Cisco transceiver supports 300m wavelength over OM4 MMF through an LC duplex connector. Cisco – SFP+ transceiver module – 10GbE contains a small form factor plugin interface for seamless installation. 10Gbase-SR SFP module is generally used for connecting server network switches and storage devices. Cisco SFP-10G-SR is used to provide ultra-high-speed network connections in large firms and campuses.
